药师法会 Medicine Buddha Dharma Service

药师琉璃光如来，又称「大医王佛」，是东方净琉璃世界的教主。药师佛发下十二大愿，广济众生，解除疾病痛苦，增长福德寿命，成就现世安乐与究竟解脱。佛经中记载，称念药师佛名号、持诵药师咒、礼拜供养，能得消灾延寿、身心康泰、业障消除、福慧圆满。

佛光山每年举办药师法会，藉由礼诵《药师琉璃光如来本愿功德经》，修持药师四加行，点燃药师灯，祈愿药师佛慈光普照，照耀众生，消除灾难，增长福慧，国泰民安，社会和谐。

The Medicine Buddha, also known as the “Great King of Medicine,” is the guiding teacher of the Eastern Pure Lapis Lazuli World. He made twelve great vows to heal all beings, relieve them from suffering and illness, increase their blessings and lifespan, and ultimately lead them to peace in this life and liberation in the next. According to the sutras, reciting the Buddha’s name, chanting the Medicine Buddha Mantra, and making offerings with reverence can dispel calamities, extend life, bring health and peace to body and mind, remove karmic obstacles, and perfect both merit and wisdom.

Every year, Fo Guang Shan holds the Medicine Buddha Dharma Service. Through chanting the Medicine Buddha Sutra, practicing the Four Preliminary Practices of the Medicine Buddha, and offering Medicine Buddha Lamps, devotees pray for the Buddha’s compassionate light to shine upon all beings, dispelling disasters, increasing blessings and wisdom, and bringing peace to the nation and harmony to society.
